This privacy policy is applicable to the Regnum Christi Slovensko app (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices, which was developed by Obcianske zdruzenie RCSK (hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider”). This service is provided “AS IS” as a free, non-commercial service.

Identification of the data controller

The controller of your personal data is Obcianske zdruzenie RCSK, with its registered office at Ludovita Fullu 20, 841 05 Bratislava-Karlova Ves, Slovakia, identification number (ICO): 53163966.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application acquires the information you supply when you download and use the Application. Registration with the Service Provider is not mandatory to use the core features (News, Prayerbook, Calendar, Gallery).

However, depending on the features you use, the Application processes specific data:

• Contact form data: If you use the in-app contact form, you provide your name, email address, and message. This data is securely transmitted to and stored in the Service Provider's database so we can respond to your inquiry.
• Push notification tokens: If you opt in to receive remote news updates (“Upozornenia na novinky”), the Application generates a push notification token via Expo, which is synced to our database to deliver broadcast messages. You can toggle this off at any time, which actively deletes the token from our servers.
• Local on-device data: Your custom prayers, favorite prayers, and app settings (such as text size and theme) are saved strictly locally on your device (AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted to the Service Provider.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you to provide important information, required notices, or respond to your support requests.

What information does the Application collect automatically?

The Application may collect certain minimal information automatically, including the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, and crash logs to help us improve stability.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

No. This Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Does the Application use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies?

No. The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

We only share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement. The Application utilizes specific third-party infrastructure providers that act as data processors:

• Expo: Facilitates app functionality and push notification delivery.
• Supabase: Acts as our secure backend database for contact messages and push notification tokens.
• Google Calendar / Cloudflare / WordPress: Used solely to fetch public read-only data (events, images, and news articles) displayed in the app.

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall processes for your device. You can also instantly opt out of push notifications by disabling them in the “Settings” tab, which permanently deletes your token from our servers.

What is the data retention policy and how can you manage your information?

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:

• Contact form data is typically retained for no longer than 12 months after the inquiry is resolved.
• Technical records (including crash logs and related server logs) may be retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
• Push notification tokens are retained only while you remain opted in to receive them; when you disable notifications in the app, your token is deleted from our servers.

If you would like the Service Provider to delete any user-provided data you have submitted via the Application, please contact us at info@regnumchristi.sk and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

GDPR compliance and your privacy rights (Act No. 18/2018 Coll.)

Because the Service Provider operates in Slovakia, your data is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Erasure: Request the deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restriction & objection: Limit or object to how we process your data.

To exercise these rights, email info@regnumchristi.sk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Urad na ochranu osobnych udajov SR).

How does the Application address the privacy of younger users?

The Regnum Christi Slovensko app is designed for the entire Regnum Christi community in Slovakia, including children and young people. Features such as the Prayerbook, Calendar event reminders, and the Gallery are intentionally accessible to younger members of our community.

The Application collects minimal personal data (see above). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data specifically from children. The contact form and push notification opt-in are the only features that transmit personal data to our servers; any personal data submitted through the Application should be provided with a parent or legal guardian's awareness where applicable.

The safety and well-being of all community members, including minors, is governed by our Safeguarding Policy, which is available directly within the app in the FAQ section. We encourage all parents and guardians to read it.

How is your information kept secure?

The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards (including Row Level Security on our databases and encrypted API connections) to protect information we process and maintain. We limit access to this information strictly to authorized personnel who need to know it to operate or improve the Application.

How will you be informed of changes to this Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.

By using the Application, you consent to the Service Provider processing your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. “Processing” includes using local device storage or collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information.

Tieto podmienky pouzivania sa vztahuju na aplikaciu Regnum Christi Slovensko (dalej len „aplikacia“) pre mobilne zariadenia, ktoru vyvinulo Obcianske zdruzenie RCSK (dalej len „poskytovatel sluzby“). Tato sluzba je poskytovana „TAK, AKO JE“ ako bezplatna, nekomercna sluzba.

Prava dusevneho vlastnictva

Vsetky prava dusevneho vlastnictva, vratane ochranych znamok, autorskych prav, prav k databazam a dalsieho vlastnickeho obsahu suvisiaceho s aplikaciou, zostavaju vyhradnym vlastnictvom poskytovatela sluzby.

Suhlasitte s tym, ze:

• Neopravnene kopirovanie, upravy alebo redistribucia aplikacie alebo jej akejkolvek casti je prisne zakazana
• Nesmiete extrahovat, vykonavat reverznu inziniering ani sa pokusat ziskat zdrojovy kod aplikacie
• Nesmiete aplikaciu prekladat do inych jazykov ani vytvarat odvodene verzie bez vyslovneho pisomneho povolenia
• Nesmiete pouzivat ochranne znamky, loga alebo branding aplikacie akymkolvek sposobom bez predchadzajuceho suhlasu

Porusenie tychto prav dusevneho vlastnictva moze viest k pravnym krokom a okamzitemu ukonceniu vasho pristupu k aplikacii.

Pripustne pouzivanie

Suhlasitte s tym, ze budete aplikaciu pouzivat vyhradne na zakonne ucely a v sulade s tymito podmienkami pouzivania. Konkretne suhlasitte s tym, ze nebudete:

• pouzivat aplikaciu sposobom, ktory porusuje platne zakony alebo predpisy
• konat sposobom, ktory obmedzuje alebo brani komukolvek v pouzivani alebo uzivani aplikacie

Upravy sluzby a dostupnost

Poskytovatel sluzby sa zavazuje nepretrzite zlepsovat aplikaciu a vyhradzuje si pravo:

• kedykolvek bez predchadzajuceho upozornenia menit funkcie, funkcnost alebo obsah aplikacie
• docasne pozastavit aplikaciu z dovodu udrzby, aktualizacii alebo bezpecnosti
• v buducnosti zaviest platene sluzby alebo dalsie funkcie (akekolvek zmeny cien budu vopred jasne oznamene)
• uplne prestat poskytovat aplikaciu, s predchadzajucim upozornenim alebo bez neho

Pouzivanim aplikacie suhlasitte s prijatim vsetkych aktualizacii, ked su ponuknute. Aktualizovane verzie mozu byt nevyhnutne na dalsiu kompatibilitu s operacnym systemom vasho zariadenia.

Bezpecnost zariadenia a zodpovednost pouzivatela

Aplikacia vyzaduje:

• kompatibilne mobilne zariadenie s iOS alebo Androidom
• aktivne pripojenie na internet (Wi-Fi alebo mobilne data)

Suhlasitte s tym, ze budete:

• udrzovat bezpecnost a dovernost pristupu k vasmu zariadeniu
• nejailbreakovat ani nerootovat svoje zariadenie, co zahrna odstranenie softverovych obmedzeni ustanovenych oficialnym operacnym systemom. Take kroky mozu vystavit vase zariadenie malveru, virusom a skodlivym programom, ohrozit bezpecnostne funkcie a zabranit spravnej funkcnosti aplikacie
• udrzovat softver zariadenia aktualizovany
• udrzovat dostatocnu uroven nabitia baterie zariadenia na pouzivanie aplikacie
• prevziat zodpovednost za akekolvek poplatky vasho mobilneho operatora za spotrebu dat

Poskytovatel sluzby nezodpoveda za:

• to, ze aplikacia nefunguje na plny vykon z dovodu nedostatku pripojenia na internet alebo vycerpanej datovej kvoty
• poplatky mobilneho operatora za spotrebu dat, roaming alebo ine naklady suvisiace s operatorom
• vybitie baterie alebo poruchu zariadenia
• poplatky alebo platby tretich stran suvisiace s pouzivanim aplikacie

Ak nie ste drzitelom uctu pre svoje zariadenie, potvrdzujete, ze ste od drzitela uctu ziskali povolenie na pouzivanie aplikacie.

Sluzby a obsah tretich stran

Aplikacia vyuziva poskytovatelov infrastruktury tretich stran, ktori vystupuju ako sprostredkovatelia spracuvania. Medzi nich patria:

• Expo: Umoznuje funkcnost aplikacie a dorucovanie push notifikacii
• Supabase: Bezpecna backendova databaza pre spravy z kontaktneho formulara a tokeny push notifikacii
• Google Calendar: Nacitanie udajov o udalostiach len na citanie
• Cloudflare: Dorucovanie obsahu a bezpecnost
• WordPress: Nacitanie sprav a obsahu len na citanie

Kazda sluzba tretej strany ma vlastne podmienky pouzivania a zasady ochrany osobnych udajov a mozu sa na vas vztahovat aj ich podmienky. Poskytovatel sluzby odporuca oboznamit sa s tymito dokumentmi: Expo Terms of Service, Supabase Terms, Google Calendar Terms, Cloudflare Terms, WordPress.com Terms.

Poskytovatel sluzby nezodpoveda za obsah, zasady ani postupy sluzieb tretich stran a nepodporuje ich.

Presnost informacii a vylucenie zodpovednosti

Hoci sa poskytovatel sluzby snazi zabezpecit, aby bola aplikacia vzdy aktualna a presna, spoliaha sa na tretie strany pri poskytovani informacii. Poskytovatel sluzby neprebera zodpovednost za:

• akukolvek skodu, priamu alebo nepriamu, vyplyvajucu z dovery v obsah alebo funkcnost aplikacie
• nepresnosti alebo opomenutia v informaciach poskytovanych prostrednictvom aplikacie
• obsah alebo sluzby tretich stran integrovane v aplikacii
• prerusenia, oneskorenia alebo nedostupnost aplikacie
• akekolvek skody vzniknute pouzivanim alebo neschopnostou pouzivat aplikaciu

Toto vylucenie zodpovednosti sa uplatnuje v maximalnom rozsahu povolenom zakonom, vratane skod za usly zisk, stratu udajov alebo stratu moznosti pouzivania.

Spracuvanie udajov a ochrana osobnych udajov

Aplikacia spracuva osobne udaje tak, ako je popisane v nasich Zasadach ochrany osobnych udajov. Pouzivanim aplikacie suhlasitte so spracuvanim udajov v sulade so Zasadami ochrany osobnych udajov. Dlzku uchovavania osobnych udajov podrobne upravuju Zasady ochrany osobnych udajov.

Vase prava (podla GDPR a zakona c. 18/2018 Z. z.):

• Pristup: Poziadat o kopiu vasich osobnych udajov
• Oprava: Poziadat o opravu nepresnych udajov
• Vymazanie: Poziadat o vymazanie vasich udajov („pravo byt zabudnuty“)
• Obmedzenie: Obmedzit sposob, akym spracuvame vase udaje
• Namietka: Namietat proti urcitym cinnostiam spracuvania
• Odvolanie suhlasu: Kedykolvek odvolat suhlas so spracuvanim udajov

Pre pouzivatelov na Slovensku mate tiez pravo podat staznost na Urad na ochranu osobnych udajov SR.

Ochrana sukromia a ochrana deti

Tato aplikacia je urcena pre pouzivatelov vsetkych vekovych kategorii, no sukromie deti berieme vazne. Poskytovatel sluzby nezhromazduje vedome osobne udaje specificky od deti. Akekolvek osobne udaje odoslane prostrednictvom aplikacie (napriklad cez kontaktny formular) by mali byt poskytnute so vedomim rodica alebo zakonneho zastupcu tam, kde je to na mieste. Vsetky zakladne funkcie — vratane Sprav, Modlitebnika, Kalendara a Galerie — su pristupne bez poskytnutia akychkolvek osobnych udajov.

Necielime marketing ani sluzby na deti a vedome ich neoslovujeme so ziadostou o osobne udaje.

Ak ste rodic alebo zakonny zastupca a domnievate sa, ze vase dieta poskytlo osobne udaje tejto aplikacii, okamzite nas kontaktujte na info@regnumchristi.sk, aby sme mohli tieto udaje z nasich serverov odstranit.

Poskytovatel sluzby je zo zakona povinny nahlasit akekolvek podozrenie zo zneuzitia alebo zneuzivania maloletych prislusnym organom.

Ukoncenie pristupu

Poskytovatel sluzby moze kedykolvek bez predchadzajuceho upozornenia ukoncit vas pristup k aplikacii, ak:

• porusite tieto podmienky pouzivania
• sa dopustite protipravneho konania
• porusite platne zakony alebo predpisy
• sa pokusite ziskat neopravneny pristup k aplikacii alebo suvisiacim systemom

Po ukonceni:

• musite prestat pouzivat aplikaciu
• musite na ziadost aplikaciu zo zariadenia odstranit
• mozu byt vymazane akekolvek udaje suvisiace s vasim pouzivanim

Zmeny podmienok pouzivania

Poskytovatel sluzby moze tieto podmienky pouzivania kedykolvek aktualizovat. Odporucame vam pravidelne si tuto stranku precitat kvoli zmenam. Aktualizacie budu zverejnene na tejto stranke a v aplikacii s jasne uvedenym datumom ucinnosti.

Vase dalsie pouzivanie aplikacie po akychkolvek zmenach predstavuje suhlas s novymi podmienkami.

Oddelitelnost

Ak sa ktorekolvek ustanovenie tychto podmienok pouzivania povazuje za neplatne alebo nevymahatelne, ostatne ustanovenia zostavaju v plnej platnosti a ucinnosti. Neplatne ustanovenie sa upravi v najmensom potrebnom rozsahu tak, aby bolo platne a vymahatelne.

All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other proprietary content related to the Application, remain the exclusive property of the Service Provider.

• You may not extract, reverse engineer, or attempt to obtain the source code of the Application.
• You may not translate the Application into other languages or create derivative versions without explicit written permission.

Violations of these intellectual property rights may result in legal action and immediate termination of your access to the Application.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Application solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Application.

The Service Provider is committed to continuously improving the Application and reserves the right to:

• Introduce paid services or additional features in the future (any changes to pricing will be clearly communicated in advance).

By using the Application, you agree to accept all updates when offered. Updated versions may be necessary for continued compatibility with your device's operating system.

Device Security and User Responsibility

The Application requires:

• A compatible mobile device running iOS or Android.
• An active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

You agree to:

• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your device access.
• Not jailbreak or root your device, which involves removing software restrictions imposed by the official operating system. Such actions may expose your device to malware, viruses, and malicious programs, compromise security features, and prevent the Application from functioning correctly.
• Keep your device software updated.
• Maintain adequate device battery charge to use the Application.
• Accept responsibility for any charges imposed by your mobile network provider for data usage.

The Service Provider is not responsible for:

• The Application not functioning at full capacity due to lack of internet connectivity or exhausted data allowance.
• Charges incurred from your mobile network provider for data usage, roaming fees, or other carrier-related costs.
• Loss of battery charge or device malfunction.
• Third-party charges or fees related to using the Application.

If you are not the account holder for your device, you confirm you have obtained permission from the account holder to use the Application.

Third-Party Services and Content

The Application utilizes third-party infrastructure providers that act as data processors. These include:

• Expo: Facilitates app functionality and push notification delivery.
• Supabase: Secure backend database for contact messages and push notification tokens.
• Google Calendar: Fetch read-only event data.
• Cloudflare: Content delivery and security.
• WordPress: Fetch read-only news and content data.

Each third-party service has its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and you may be subject to their terms as well. The Service Provider recommends reviewing these policies: Expo Terms of Service, Supabase Terms, Google Calendar Terms, Cloudflare Terms, WordPress.com Terms.

The Service Provider is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services and does not endorse them.

Information Accuracy and Liability Disclaimer

Important limitation of liability: While the Service Provider strives to ensure the Application is updated and accurate at all times, it relies on third parties to provide information. The Service Provider accepts no liability for:

• Any loss, direct or indirect, resulting from reliance on the Application's content or functionality.
• Inaccuracies or omissions in information provided through the Application.
• Third-party content or services integrated within the Application.
• Interruptions, delays, or unavailability of the Application.
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Application.

This disclaimer applies to the maximum extent permitted by law, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or use.

Data Processing and Privacy

The Application processes personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Application, you consent to data processing practices outlined in the Privacy Policy. The retention periods for personal data are set out in detail in the Privacy Policy.

All core features — including News, Prayerbook, Calendar, and Gallery — can be accessed without providing any personal data.

We do not target our marketing or services toward children, nor do we knowingly solicit their personal information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to this Application, please contact us immediately at info@regnumchristi.sk so we can remove that data from our servers.

The Service Provider is required by law to report any suspected abuse or exploitation of minors to the appropriate authorities.

Termination of Access

The Service Provider may terminate your access to the Application at any time without prior notice if you:

• Violate these Terms and Conditions.
• Engage in unlawful conduct.
• Violate applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Application or related systems.

Upon termination:

• Your rights and licenses granted under these terms immediately end.
• You must cease using the Application.
• You must delete the Application from your device if requested.
• Any data associated with your use may be deleted.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Service Provider may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. You are advised to review this page regularly for changes. Updates will be posted on this page and within the Application, with the effective date clearly indicated.

Your continued use of the Application following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic.
